CUISINE IN AFGHANISTAN IS RICH AND DIVERSE

The cuisine in Afghanistan is a melting pot of diverse flavors and influences. Persian, Central Asian, and South Asian culinary traditions are all utilized to create some of the most exquisite dishes found anywhere in the world.

The backbone of this dining experience is halal, or “permissible” foods in Islam, such as fish, beef, mutton, poultry, rice, and naan bread.

  • Bread: Naan is a flatbread traditionally cooked in a clay oven. We use this classic method of preparation to deliver an authentic taste. We offer a variety of naan, including our beloved garlic and melted butter vegetarian choice.
  • Rice: Rice is a staple of cuisine in Afghanistan, but its preparation and flavor profile go beyond what you’re typically accustomed to – in a good and exciting way. All our main dishes are served with Afghan white basmati rice, except for the mantu meal, and can be substituted with Afghan Qabili. Palau rice upon request for an additional charge of 2.99.
  • Meat Dishes: Lamb, beef, and poultry are marinated and slowly roasted for tenderness and heightened flavor. Satiate your palette with bone-in and boneless varieties of beef, mouthwatering skewered kabobs, savory sea bass, and much more.
